What textures did you create in your drawing? How did you apply technique/formal elements to create them? What did you learn during this project? Did you overcome any challenges?
In my drawing I tried to create the texture of grass and the texture of the shoes but they're a canvas shoe. I made the grass texture by applying shades of green then going over the section with baby oil and then going back in with a black to make the pieces of grass. For the converse texture I just made the red as smooth as I could so that it would look smooth like the actual shoe. I used shading on the shoe and some of the laces the make the lace look like its popping out. A technique i used to make everything really smooth and blended together i used baby oil and it ended up making the piece more complete. During this project I learned that when you use prismas you have to work very slow and layer. I also learned that its harder to get a realistic look with prismas and it looks more cartoonish. Overall i learned the technique of prismas and how to make them look best because I've never used prismas before. I didn't face a lot of challenges but the main challenge would be making the white shoe lace bounce off the white base and I overcame that by using acrylic paint over the laces and then shading over the white shoe lace to give it more diminutions.
