-What do you wish to communicate to your viewers?
I want to communicate beauty to my viewers. I want to communicate this because it can be found in so many things and sometimes not everyone sees it. Through art you can create things and get people to notice things because you don't have to read anything you can just look at it and a lot of times you can interpret art in your own way.
-How do you want others to view you as an artist?
I want to be viewed as a normal person, I feel that being an artist just gives you a talent that not everyone has and I know my opinion might be different from others but I would just like to be viewed as an average person. Sometimes making certain pieces can cause people to look at you differently or question you and I don't think thats right, art is a way of expression and everyone finds a way to express themselves whether it be from art, to clothing, to your hair, etc. everyone has a way to express who they are. I once made a piece about bullying, it was a piece that meant something to me even though what was on the art piece I haven't done. The art piece was a hand and wrist and someone had been self harming, in the background it was a bunch of words that could hurt someone made from magazine letters. The piece meant something to me cause I know people who have gone through it and I know its a big problem in todays society but just because I made the piece doesn't mean I should be treated differently.
-What artist ideas drive, challenge, shape, and nourish your artistic expressions?
What inspires me to make art are things I've been through, things that mean something to me, things that interest me, and if I can help make a difference through art. The one that is in most of my artwork I create is how meaningful the piece is to me. Its a lot easier for me personally to create a piece that means something to me rather than a practice drawing or drawing something random. It's easier for me because I focus more on it and I spend more time on it and want it to be as perfect as possible, when I'm doing a piece thats random I just try to get it over with as fast as possible.
-Is it important for you to incorporate meaning, emotion, or symbolism in your work?
I think it is important to incorporate meaning into my work because the more meaningful the piece the more you care about it. Also the more meaningful it is to you the more you can relate to it and sometimes its easier for others to relate to it as well. For me personally the more meaningful the piece is to me makes it easier to create the artwork. When your heart is in the artwork you do everything you can to make the piece as perfect as possible
-What do you believe makes a "good" artwork?
I believe that good art is made through creativity because you never want to copy a piece thats already been done and the more creative your piece is the more unique it is in the art world. I also believe that an artist story makes good art because the piece might not mean anything to you but to the artist it could be their everything. When you read an artist story behind the piece sometimes more people can relate to it and when people can relate to it you get a reaction. If people can relate to your art and it means something to them as well as yourself you've created a good piece of art.
